Steve Harvey, despite his huge mistake on Sunday, will be back to host the Miss Universe pageant next year, and probably years after.

Harvey signed a contract days before Sunday’s Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas, binding the comedian to hosting duties for at least three years, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Even with his mistake, Harvey will be the highest paid host ever, according to ET.

Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was forced to give her crown to Miss Philippines moments after she was wrongly named the winner.

Harvey’s actually made Mark Shapir, the owner of the Miss Universe Organization’s parent company, WME IMG, feel better about Harvey.

“I definitely want him back,” Shapiro told the Jim Rome Show Tuesday. “I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.”

And this is why I didn’t jump or fuss because A) it wasn’t a big deal and B) this mistake was much to do about nothing in terms of his career and entertainment in general.

    • Exactly.

This is certainly not the most important issue in the world.
