Black Twitter is known for creating hashtags that get the whole Internet talking. From serious topics like #BlackLivesMatter and #SayHerName, to more humorous riffs like #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies, Black Twitter’s ability to engage in both hilarious and poignant dialog is damn near magical.

But while Black Twitter’s social media prowess is the stuff of legend, #WhitesAgainstTrump is the absolute best thing to come out of the Republican presidential debates.

The hashtag was first tweeted on Dec. 9 by Heather Bentley, after Trump’s offensive comments about Muslims reached a seriously disturbing crescendo.

Though folks had been using the tag over the weekend, #WhitesAgainstTrump really took off during Tuesday night’s GOP debate thanks to the efforts of comedian W. Kamau Bell and writer Adam Mansbach.

The responses ranged from comical to serious, but the message was clear: Trump’s gotta go.

Black Twitter also showed its appreciation for their white peers for boldly calling out Trump.

We love it!
