The first trailer for Zoe Saldana’s biopic about legendary singer/songwriter Nina Simone was released today, and folks were not pleased.
The clip once again reignited criticism about the choice to cast Saldana in the first place.

Back in 2012, Nina Simone’s daughter called the film “unauthorized,” and today, the official twitter account for Simone’s estate told Saldana how they really feel about her portrayal.

Well, damn. I guess they won’t be hitting the theater this April when Nina is released.
