When security footage surfaced in May 2014 of Solange preparing to roundhouse kick Jay-Z in an elevator as her sister Beyonce casually looked on, many tabloid outlets pointed to Rachel Roy as the reason for the attempted beat down.
“Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Beyoncé also confronted Rachel and said, ‘Don’t talk to my sister like that,’ after [Rachel] confronted Solange.”
So Saturday night, when Mrs Knowles-Carter aired her highly anticipated HBO special Lemonade, a Terrence Malick-inspired visual accompaniment to her album of the same name—filled, as it were, with lyrical allusions to Jay Z’s cheating—one of the songs that drew the most attention is “Apathy.”
Beyoncé opens the track with some spoken word: “So what are you gonna say at my funeral now that you’ve killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children both living and dead. Rest in peace my true love, who I took for granted. Most bomb pussy, who because of me sleep evaded. Her shroud is loneliness, her god was listening. Her heaven will be a love without betrayal. Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks.”
Then, she’s joined by squads of beautiful black women—including a twerking Serena Williams—before dropping a cryptic clue as to the identity of the other woman: “he better call Becky with the good hair.”
Well, hours after Lemonade premiered, Roy posted a photo of herself along with the caption, “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens.”
When the Beyhive started swarming, Rachel temporarily locked her account, which prompted some overzealous fans to direct their anger towards Rachel’s daughter, Ava.
The original post has since been taken down and Rachel addressed the bees via Twitter but it seems as though she’ll be hiding out until the coast is clear. Sources say the 42 year old fashion designer was scheduled to speak at a seminar for people in creative industries, but canceled to a personal emergency.
I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn't be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.

Rachel isn’t the only one being dragged for filth though. Rita Ora is also on the hive’s radar after the former Roc Nation singer posted a few photos of herself looking a little too cozy with Jay. The icing on the cake though, was her sharing a photo of herself rocking a gold letter J necklace and a bikini top with lemons on it.
What are your thoughts on who this Becky could be?
