On a recent episode of The Daily Show, Jessica Williams and Ronny Chieng took a look at the issues Black women and Asian men face when using dating apps.
Sexual racism is something that has become more prevalent with the popularity of apps like Tinder, and the population of people with the least amount of success happen to be black and Asian men.
“There is kind of a systemic racial bias pretty much in every dating site I’ve ever looked at,” Christian Rudder, co-founder of OKCupid and author of the dating statistics book “Dataclysm,” told the duo. “We found that 82 percent of non-black men have some bias against black women… And Asian men get the fewest messages and the worst ratings of any group of guys.”

Online dating is hard enough as it is, but when you come across racist people, it definitely makes you lose a little more hope in humanity.
There’s one thing about having preferences, but when you start making racist statements, it’s a whole nother ball game.
I’ve personally have received the “[you’re] pretty for a black girl” statement several times. But I’ve also never been swiped right by an Asian guy either….so there’s that.
Clutchettes, have you experienced sexual racism?
