I haven't tried this particular makeup line, but I am a client of ada cosmetics and I must say that I am extremely satified with the results. The makeup is awesome to say the least and you will find your exact color match with them....perhaps more than one color will suit you because it is all about the undertones(red, blue, golden, yellow etc)the is fair considering that with mineral makeup, it's so concetrated, that a little goes a mighty long way. As well, it covers blemishes, dark marks very well and unlike store bought makeup with all the chemials and preservatives in it that make a sista look worse off when she takes it off, this stuff actually makes you look BETTER when you take it off! I love my ada cosmetics and I will not be using anything else any time in the near future. Ladies ada offers samples and you just pick out your complexion(fair,light,med/dark)and they will send you samples of at least fifteen mineral makeup, some blushes and bronzer that match your selected skin tone for under twenty dollars!! Let's start supporting makeup made by us.....FOR US!!!

Tried the mineral foundation, and it's a good product. Much better range of colors than Bare Minerals, and it covers everything.

I just want to say kudos to the makeup companies that are going green and giving colored girls something healthful and non toxic to glam up with. "Clutchanistas " are always on the cutting edge and are always leading the vangard in the glam department because you make it a point to research what exactly is out there for US! Once again thank you and thank you to all the makeup mix masters/mistresses that are going green with the makeup.

I have. I purchased some lip glosses, blush and the setting powder. First, to be fair, I am not a mineral make- up enthusiast. However, I thought that I would try mineral make up for and by Black women. So, I purchased the aforementioned products and some products from Ada, another company featured on Clutch.

Blac Minerals: a little of the blush goes a long way. Also, with the way mineral make up is designed, you have to be very careful how you open it and apply it. I took it work and ended up painting our cream counters raisin because the loose powders flew everywhere. However, the blush did give me a nice glow. I haven't used the setting powder enough to fairly comment on it, so I'll pass. As far as the glosses go, I'm a lip stick/gloss fanatic and I know what's good. The coverage from the glosses I ordered were poor. I had to overly apply the cosmetic to see any color and when I did, I ended up looking clownish. Also, the color in the pot doesn't truly mimic the colors from the site and what it looks like on your lips. Full disclosure: my lips are two-toned, with a pink lower lip and tawny-pink upper lip.

By comparison, the Ada lip glosses faired better. The actual coverage from thier glosses was great...it went on like a creamy lipstick and I applied it with a regular old q-tip. I used the q-tip because I received a sampling of other colors from the company that were dipped on a q-tip. One sample lasted me two generous applications. The color selection was decent and I can't honestly recall if what I received resembled what was shown on their site, but if anyone is truly interested, I'll do a comparison.

Hope this helps!

Minerals are so good for your skin. It almost doesn't look like you are wearing any makeup. I am glad we have some minerals geared torward us. Now I can find a color that works for my skin tone!!!
