I love the mineral makeup that I am using. It was founded by to sisters with medical degrees from Balitmore, MD. It’s called Ada(Nigerian for first born), and it is the ish!! What I like about them is that they have for purchase what is called the sample set and you can choose from light, fair, medium/dark, and it comes with at least 6-9 samples that you can try to find your perfect match. I am not a sensitive skin person and I find when you wait for your moisturizer to settle into your skin along with utilizing a makeup primer(my fave is from DHC skincare called Velvet Skin Coat) then you will not have the sheen thing going on. They have an entire makeup line going on, but I just wanted the blush and mineral makeup. http://www.adacosmetics.com, you should definitely check it out. I was in Target the other day and I saw that they’re carrying Bare Escentual. I was shocked! Ithought she just sold it in her stores, QVC, and infomercials; go figure! Thought you ladies would like to know. Incidently I’m going to check out the other websites you mentioned.

It’s great to see women making healthier choices in health and makeup also. I have to agree with Jennifer, Crush Groove Mineral makeup is the bomb. I am a woman of color, but she has good color selections for anyone. I’ve used minerals for 3 years now, but I could never get the coverage, and the correct color for my skin, and I know my undertone-Red. It all boiled down to mica and titanium oxides. These natural minerals give a false sheen. I urge and tell everyone about this all natural vegan line-Jenique, the ceo of Crush Grooves is a gem! Great customer service also!

I have Bare Minerals. I still don’t know how to blend it well. I tend to overblend and the mica elements become really shiny, so my face ends up with a chalky effect. I didn’t purchase the set, only a smal container and no instructions.

Jennifer, thanks for providing the link to the Crush Groove site. That’s some mineral makeup I’d like to try. once I learn how to blend the Bare Escentuals, I just might love it. But I like the idea of vegan and organic minerals.

I’ve tried Bare Escentuals once and I admit it was quite nice. However the artist that was “helping” me treated me as if I were a Leper. She kept glancing nervously around the store while applying the powder to my face, barely touching me at all. I have discoid lesions on my face from lupus, and I’m use to people looking strangely at me. But the behavior of the makeup artist made me feel so inferior, and otherwise not worthy of their service that I refuse to purchase their products even though they work well on my skin. To say I had a bad experience would be an understatement…I only hope others don’t go through what I did.

A friend of mine has been urging me to try mineral makeup. She is a big fan of Bare Escentuals, but I still love MAC. I am going to check out some of the other options and see how well they do. I have an illness called Sarcoidosis and it effects my skin, organs, and muscles, so I have to be careful about the products that I use.

I STILL WEAR IT AND YOU GET IT SHIPPED TO YOUR DOORSTEP ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH FOR ONLY $30.00 IT WORKS REAL GOOD AND THEY HAVE DIFFERENT THINGS YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM THE HAVE LIPGLOSS, CREME EYELINER, TONS OF CHOICES FOR HIGHLIGHTERS, IF I WAS TO RATE IT 1-10 IT WOULD BE A 9 AND A HALF. ONLY BECAUSE I HAD TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT. IT IS VERY VERY HARD TO GET THE GROOVE TO THE BRUSHES RIGHT. IT COMES WITH CONCEALER AND THIS BASE THING THAT MAKES YOUR FACE LOOK PHENOMENAL. I AM GLAD I HAD ORDERED IT. I LOOK GREAT.

I have been using Bare Escentuals for a couple years and I have found that it makes you look flawless without using that much product. I will be checking out Crush Groove Cosmetic though,thanks for the tip!!
