I started locking my hair in high school (seven years ago) because I was a distance runner and the relaxer was NOT cutting it anymore!! lol. At that time, very few women were locing. Now, I see so many other women in locs and am loving it. My locs have also grown to be beautiful. I’d advise every sistah to do it. I get my hair tightened up four times a year ($80/visit) and just spray it and go. It’s sooooooo easy and cheap! Great article Clutch!!

I sort of wished I’d known about sisterlocks when I locked a couple of years ago. I find them so beautiful and a bit more versatile…especially if you have thick hair!
