Cahoots Handbags
Cahoots handbags is an adorable line of clutches and shoulder bags that you won’t find being worn on every other arm. Combining classic styles and shapes with unusual fabrics like 1940s German mattress ticking and 1960s air stream trailer upholstery, the designs manage to be both timeless and outrageously fun.
Cahoots launched in 2003 after designer Paige, along with her mother and sister, began working to design patterns and playing around with fabrics that had been painstakingly collected over the years by her parents and grandparents. The brand began getting attention shortly there after. “As soon as we’d made ourselves bags and began carrying them, people started requesting their own, so the business launched.” Paige explains, “We started doing trunk shows from our studio and as soon as we built the website, we started getting nationwide and international hits.”
Extreme attention to detail, exquisite hand-craftsmanship and use of one-of-a-kind fabrics is what set these bags apart from many other lines. “We hunt out magnificent pieces that you can’t find in a fabric store and because we get such a tiny quantity of fabric, it ensures that you won’t show up to a party and find someone else carrying your bag,” Paige said.
