The official end of summer is about a month away, but we’ve already gotten a jump start on our fall shopping list! Among the visions of fly boots and cozy sweaters dancing around in our heads are striking coats by Mestif.
Mestif is a contemporary women’s outerwear collection that focuses on professional women who seek quality and desire to be trendsetters in today’s urban market. The collection consists of silhouettes that are sleek and sophisticated, not words that are traditionally associated with outerwear. Composed of five partners with an eye for fashion, Mestif sets out to give women more urbane outerwear options. “We felt that the outerwear market was somewhat overlooked and decided to expand it and help it grow.” States Lorene Cowan, VP of corporate communications and PR. Mestif looks to set itself apart by using quality wool/cashmere blends, unexpected fabric combinations, and theme linings, all while paying astute attention to details.
The designers of Mestif understand that outerwear is an investment piece for many women and decided to focus on creating products that are extremely versatile. “The thing we took under consideration in designing and production was the fact that women like to have a coat that can be used to go to work and for after work activities.” Lorene explains, “In choosing a jacket or trench it’s important to focus on colors that can be used with multiple wardrobes.”
The Mestif line includes a full range of jacket and coat styles including trenches, classic bombers, cropped, and long jackets. The line will be available this fall exclusively at the N store in New York.
