I read Dare and it was so good that I went to meet Abiola Abrams at an event she did at Barnes and Noble in Manhattan and she was so sweet. The book was so good! It was such a relief to read a story about black people that was positive and smart. Why is everything else we do so smutty? It’s perfect to find her here in the positive and wonderful Clutch Magazine. This book is classy, smart, poetic, sexy – it’s like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys and Jill Scott had their music magically transformed into a book. Brava!
