OH MY GOD!!! Sparkle is my favorite movie OF ALL TIMES. I remember hearing of a remake a while, I guess 6-7 years back!!!i wanted/want to audition for the sister that ran away Delores. ( Mind you I am not an actress ;) ) I HEARD IT WAS GOING TO BE ASHANTI, as the star, NOT AALIYAH!!! Im sad all over again!!! She would have been PHENOMENAL!!! I wonder if she was going to be SISTER or SPARKLE!!! DANG!!!!

Any who, I Love E. Lynn Harris also. Great interview.

To Mr. Harris: Thanks for opening up the subject to the question that burns a whole in the BRAINS of many a African American Women.
Just to Good to be True will be just as GREAT as any other novel that you have ever written. I'm a mother to a son, so Im sure there are tips!!
Keep writing!!! One day, I hope to follow in your footsteps. Hopefully I won't have to self publish, by then, I can probably send my draft to your Publishing company!!! Just a thought!!!!

Peace, Love, and God First!!

I love ALL Mr. Harris books. I am addicted - they are SO GOOD! I can read one is one day - you know it's good when that happens and it happens every time I read one of our books.

As a recently self-published author, I really appreciate Mr. Harris' candor about self-publishing. Marketing has been the hardest job I've ever done. However, like Mr. Harris, I had a story to tell and I could not, would not, refused to die with my book inside of me.

So, I say to aspiring writers, write and if you have to self-publish to get the book in print then do so. You never know who may get a hold of the book.

If you are a dancer, dance till you drop.

If you are a singer, sing to the top of your lungs.

Just don't die with your book, dance or song inside of you.
