This just made me remember those days. I went to Prairie View A&M and dealt with all the things mentioned, but no feeling compares to that experience. The Black people, the sororities and fraternities, just the overall day-to-day experience was unforgettable.

So true I went to Hampton and this was so much like it.. I miss being in that bubble where it was all black all the time no place today is like that…It is an amazing feeling..

Very true indeed, down to the last bit, but I loved ALL of it. My best advice will be to work with administration (President’s, VP’s) for workstudy. They always have money and paid for majority of my expenses!

I definitely learned during my time at my beloved HBCU but I do give back. Not because I loved the rude lady at the fromt desk or because I barely had housing but in spite of those things. I give of my time and money because I want my children to experience the benefits of my beloved school with fewer of the hang-ups. Only we can make it better.
