K’Naan is very talented, I first caught the tail end of one his performance at a Mos Def/Talib Kweli concert and I’ve been hooked since then. I’m not a big rap/hip-hop head but his work really resonates with me.

I love Knaan’s music. His story resonates with every African refugeee in the world. I am from Kenya and untill the post election violence last year I had not really contemplated the pain of losing ones homeland and having to start afresh somewhere else. Africa is a beautyful land , may peace reign in the continent one day.

his commitment to valorize african narratives and musical genres should be noted as nothing less than commendable.
I thank him for loving africa…and its Diasporas.
loving her enough to let her speak…
through the imperialist chaos…
and colonial legacies.
