K'Naan is very talented, I first caught the tail end of one his performance at a Mos Def/Talib Kweli concert and I've been hooked since then. I'm not a big rap/hip-hop head but his work really resonates with me.

I love Knaan's music. His story resonates with every African refugeee in the world. I am from Kenya and untill the post election violence last year I had not really contemplated the pain of losing ones homeland and having to start afresh somewhere else. Africa is a beautyful land , may peace reign in the continent one day.

...k'naan's music are for those who despise the propaganda the west sets upon Africa.
his commitment to valorize african narratives and musical genres should be noted as nothing less than commendable.
I thank him for loving africa...and its Diasporas.
loving her enough to let her speak...
through the imperialist chaos...
and colonial legacies.
we still rise.
