Excellent ideas, I get asked these questions about blogging all of the time by friends.
Great!!!!!!
I look forward to this Summer Blog Academy playing out over the coming weeks. Many of these topics will be covered at the Blogging While Brown Conference in Atlanta later this year. Hopefully, many of the brothers and sisters taking advantage of the Summer Blog Academy will also be at the BWB conference!
peace, Villager
I am so happy to see this! Blogging While Brown sounds cool. But, why make people pay for the information and honestly I feel by doing this online, we can get more from it! Also, I am sure the information given by Clutch will be more diverse and bring in the type of experts we wanna hear from, not just bloggers.
@Karen. I agree. The Blog Academy is approaching this as a social media and marketing academy and others are talking just blogs. Their are so many elements to social media and I know Dede Sutton (Clutch) knows alot and I am excited to see her spread the word without a cost! Kudos Clutch!
“Blogging While Brown” – I just checked the site. They are running on Blogger so that pretty much tells me they are behind in social media trends and tactics.
Great idea! If this goes well, which I know it will. This can become an conference and I know people of all backgrounds/color would come!
Side note: Hi Deanna! I met you at SoCon (unconference for social media) and attended your class on online magazines. I learned so so much and you were so giving and putting this together just makes me love you even more!

I love this idea – it’s a great offering for folks who want to learn more about social media from people directly involved in it. Regarding Blogging While Brown – I’m not gonna knock the organizer’s hustle. Some folks might want online and offline resources.
You know I’m so interested. Ever since SoCon I have been eager to learn more and more about how i can make blogging work for me!
Thanks!
When and where? I’ve just recently started reading the blogs and would love to learn more. Are blogs setup by ordinary folks who just enjoy writing and the online community.
This sounds great for blogging beginners trying to reach mainstream success! Fabulous idea!
Can’t wait to participate!
