Sade Returning In 2010 With ‘Soldier Of Love’
Sade, the “quiet storm” R&B group featuring vocalist Sade Adu, has completed its long-awaited sixth studio album. “Soldier of Love,” the band’s first collection of new material since 2000’s “Lover’s Rock” will be released Feb. 8, 2010 worldwide on Epic. As first revealed on Billboard.com in July, Sade and her longtime bandmates including Stuart Matthewman, a.k.a. Beyonce announces album plans for 2010
During the last U.K. stop of her “I Am…” tour at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham, England, Beyonce announced that she plans to release a new album next year. “This is my last show for this tour in the U.K., so hopefully, I’ll see you all in a year with a new album,” a raspy-voiced Beyonce told the crowd at the end of the set, before thanking them “from the bottom of my heart” for coming to the show. Global Fund grant to boost Zimbabwe health system
Zimbabwe’s ailing public health system will receive a 180 million US dollar boost to fight HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria from the Global Fund, state media reported Wednesday. The government and the Global Fund signed for the release of the money in Geneva, Switzerland earlier this month. “The first phase of the grant is expected to start in January next year and run until December,” Rangarirai Chiteure, Global Fund country coordinating mechanism manager told the state-run Herald. Zimbabwe has been receiving money from the Global Fund since 2002 and this latest grant is the fourth. (Continue Reading…)
