You can apply your favorite concealer over or under your foundation, but no matter which way you choose, be sure to blend, blend and blend. Tip: If you prefer, use a triangular makeup sponge to blend in a gentle back and forth dotting motion.
Does anyone know about physician’s formula concealers and how well they work on brown skinned girls?
Oh my goodness… I was just looking into buying a new concealer! Thanks Clutch!
I also suggest Cargo Cosmetics. I live by this concealer and foundation primer, which I only use with moisturizer and no REAL foundation at all. Most of their products, if not all, don’t have any oil in them as well.

How do you know the right shade of concealer to choose? Is it supposed t be lighter or darker than your skin?
Hi Ladies!
@ Cee Cee: We haven’t personally tried Physicians Formula Concealer before, but we have tried more than a few other products from the brand and we like them. Their line is pretty affordable, so it may be worth a try and if purchase from CVS, Rite-Aid or Wal-Green’s some of their locations allow you to return cosmetics purchases if it doesn’t work for you — no questions asked! (Note: SOME not all, please call ahead to your local store to ask about their return/exchange policy on cosmetics.)
@ Duckey: We are big fans of Cargo Cosmetics– great suggestion! Check out their bronzer and blushes also — Clutch product staples!
@ Wisher: You should alway choose concealer one skintone lighter than your foundation.
