I don’t know about this one. I’ve been a Janet Jackson fan since the 80’s but lately I feel like she has fallen off and can’t reclaim that hotness that she once exuded. This song sounds like the same ole pop-gum music from her earlier era and the video is reminiscent of Scream that she did with her late brother, Michael. The whole black and white futuristic theme is a thing from her past and she should leave it there. As a benefit of doubt, perhaps she was paying ode to him in her own special way. Artistically, It doesn’t feel like Janet has grown which saddens me because she’s really a great performer. You can always expect to see her keep up with the younger dancers and dazzle your eyes with her movements. Other than that, Janet’s music is boring and I wouldn’t waste another penny buying it. During her interview with Robin Roberts, Janet professed that she continues to feel good about her music and is old enough not to care what people think. I so love that! So Janet, keep doing you and hopefully you will get it right again!

Nothing wrong with my eyes…fairly my opinion Nonya as you have your own. The settings does remind ME of Scream because it’s black and white with a futuristic theme! It’s fine to disagree with me but these of my thoughts about this video.
Shani Anona, yes that is your opinion and i do respect your opinion but check facts before you speak the song and video is a tribute to michael and is a twist sample of his 1979 hit off of his “Off The Wall” cd called “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” which is where the throw back beat and style of the song comes in play as far as the video yes a tribute to Michael with a touch of “His and Her” video Scream. My problem with folks like you is you always find something negative to say about what she does then have the nerve to say your a fan “PLEASE” if you are a fan I’d hate to see what you say about your friends if you have any. This woman is a trendsetter a leader not a follower and its nice to here music that us old school folks can listen to besides how many women you can take to bed how big this and that is or how much bling you got which is all you hear now a days if the music is not for you support what you like but don’t knock something that is positive. She always offers something different and its just one song that was offered as a free gift on her webite to fans that took off into a spot on the new greatest hits cd then to a video now a single, so see darling we don’t need your opinion to know a hit when we hear one her fans are supporting it and you some of a time fans should just speak when you a spoken to thats some old school advice for you, now you may speak.
TheDoll204, WOW, you are getting pretty personal aren’t you? You don’t know anything about me and yes this is my opinion as you have your own as well. And it still doesn’t change how I feel about this song or video. It’s fine to disagree with me..simply, your prerogative. Tried to decipher where you were coming from with your response and I’m confused? Yes, I am her fan, and at times an artist can disappoint a fan with the music that they put out. I’m being real with MY thoughts about JANET…Janet is NOT dropping hits like she used to. If you read my post CLEARLY you would have seen that I’ve included that Janet makes music to her liking regardless of what people think and I love that about her. I’ve also concluded that I hope she gets it right again. Those are words of encouragement and optimism…get it? So let’s try not to slander anyone and stick to how you feel about the song/video!

Personal, yes it is personal when it comes to Janet for me, she’s my idol. I have meet her twice had the blessing to be in her glory and she is a very down to earth and very caring person. Its just like if someone said something about someone you know or love you are going to defend them. One thing you forget is that this her career if she does not feel like putting out something that is going to please you, thats her choice. I really don’t think she is hurting for money she does this because she enjoys it not to please doubters she has nothing to proove. She has made her mark and has many followers so why should she have to satisfy your appetite, who are you? this plain and simple you are not going to please everyone with what you do just like you did not please someone with things you do. I’m just the type if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say S*^t. you seem like you are a nice person to thoughs who do what you like but please stop the hating and stay in your lane and better your career so will know who you are. Thanks boo boo have a nice life.
In my opinion, this video is ok, it doesnt wow me cinematic wise…
it is reminiscent of her old “Scream” video with her brother Michael…i’m assuming this video might be a tribute to him or some other because even some of the dance moves are reminders of old Michael videos….musically, i like the song, i do hear the sampling of “dont stop till you get enough” which would be once again a tribute to her brother….however the video and the song put together would not want to make me go out and buy her cd…
but as she said herself, she is not trying to please anyone anymore, she is just doing what she likes…there is a fine line when artists reach that point in their career where they feel they no longer have to please their audience, you run the risk of losing your audience
