Must Have Mondays: L’Oreal Paris “Color of Hope” Cosmetics Bag and Makeup Collection

Monday Dec 22, 2008 – By Nicole Mitsch

During this time of year it’s so easy to get stressed out and lose focus of what the holiday season is really supposed to be about. Worrying about how many more ornaments you can squeeze on the tree or if you have enough Vodka for your holiday party. Wondering if your boyfriend is going to really get you that bracelet you want. Stressing over having to spend time with your cousin Teddy who gives you the creeps.

But I think the holiday season should be about love and compassion. I am challenging you to put those things aside and spend these last few days doing something to help someone else. Maybe you help your elderly neighbor clean the snow off of her walkway. Or you let someone know how much they mean to you. Or maybe you donate to a worthy cause in need of some support. A cause like the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCR).

L’Oreal Paris thinks the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund is such a worthy cause that they are helping to raise funds for the organization by offering a “Color of Hope” Cosmetics Bag and Makeup Collection ($25, lorealcolorofhope.com and can be purchased by calling 1-888-270-7743 or visiting a L’Oreal Paris retail store while supplies last). With every purchase of the Color of Hope Cosmetics Bag, L’Oreal Paris will donate $5.00 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Color-of-Hope-lip The L’Oreal Color of Hope Makeup Collection is on-trend and fashion forward. Featuring products for eyes, lips and nails, the collection is based on the universally flattering shade of mauve, with vibrant teal-accents on the packaging; the color symbolizing ovarian cancer awareness. L’Oreal Paris will donate $2.00 to the OCRF from the purchase of each Color of Hope Colour Riche Lipcolor, available in three shades. The collection will be available in September at mass-market retailers nationwide.

So as you are out in the hustle and bustle of the season take time to remember this cause and L’Oreal Paris. Ovarian cancer claims the lives of nearly 15,000 women a year and over the past decade, L’Oreal Paris has raised more than $18 million for the cause. There is no early detection method for ovarian cancer. You can become involved by supporting the cause by purchasing the Color of Hope products. More information is also available on the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund website.
