If you’ve been anywhere near a TV, computer or newspaper these past few weeks, then you’ve heard about the moving two-part CNN documentary, Black in America, which airs today and tomorrow. Each segment will focus on the struggles and stereotypes of the black community and how its relates to two particular themes: The Black Woman and Family, and The Black Man. Tune in to watch frank and honest dialogue on the plights of our community and its impact on the nation.

I am very interested to see this, especially tonight’s topic (The Black Woman and Fam).
Last weekend they were have segments with Bishop TD Jakes, Hill Harper, Cornel West and others…needless to say it was an amazing panel - they takled black marriage and the lack of, family, and education.
I am definitely looking forward to these other segments, as well. I think it is long overdue. I also believe that those that are not black are tunning in so that they are aware of what goes on in black families. With the Obama election, I think they are trying to watch us as close as possible. [Not like they haven’t been]
I don’t follow talking heads folk, jones here wasn’t raised like that. I don’t follow folk, I lead. all I got to say is "work hard and don’t complain"
