Most of us (me included) spend way too much time focused on ourselves. Worrying about material things, labels, having the latest and greatest, and the newest — the most exclusive. We get caught up in a never-ending circle of consumerism. Well on this MLK day and in honor of the Obama’s Day of Service I am using this Must Have Monday article to ask each and every reader to spend the day thinking of others. To go a day where you don’t worry about products or material things and instead use that energy to help others. Spend a day truly devoting yourself in helping your fellow man. Whether you volunteer at a soup kitchen. Donate blood. Visit an elderly neighbor. Or mentor a at-risk youth. It is the quickest way to be truly beautiful.
