It’s all about black and fur for mink giant Blackglama’s new campaign featuring pop icon, singer and actress Janet Jackson. The 44-year-old star channels her ‘Black Cat’ feline charm for a gorgeous shoot for the label’s latest collection. Janet joins a lengthy list of industry elite, Blackglama “What Becomes of a Legend Ads” have featured Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, Diana Ross, Lena Horne and Naomi Campbell.

When asked if she considers herself a legend, the ambitious star shares, “I have too much to accomplish to consider myself a legend.”

Reports unsurprisingly reveal PETA is upset. The organization’s Senior Vice President Dan Matthews wrote a letter to Jackson, obtained by Black Voices stating, “You told me that you were always aggravated at photo shoots when stylists would try to throw fur on you and that you were even wary of wearing fake fur out of concern that it might actually be real or look real in photos and send the wrong message.”
