Cue the Napoleon and Pedro quotes. Reports confirm that the 2004 independent comedy, “Napoleon Dynamite,” will become a Fox animated series.

Variety says Fox ordered six episodes of the new series, following an early announcement that the network has developed the show.

The great news is that most of the original cast will return to lend their voices to the characters. This includes Jon Heder as lead character Napoleon, Efren Ramirez as Pedro, Aaron Ruell as Kip Dynamite, and Jon Gries as the outrageous Uncle Rico.

No confirmation on when the show will air, but sources seem to think the show will be a part of Fox’s Sunday night line up of animations which currently includes long running show “The Simpsons,” as well as “The Cleveland Show,” “Family Guy,” and “American Dad.”

We’ll just have to see what Napoleon and Pedro have been up to in the small screen adaptation. But in the words of Napoleon, “Whatever I feel like I wanna do. Gosh!”
