Last week, Oprah Winfrey taped a segment for her final season of the ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ with a reunion of her fellow cast members from the 1985 film, “The Color Purple.”

A recent book, Oprah: A Biography that was written by Kitty Kelley, described, through unconfirmed sources, Winfrey’s alleged falling out with cast members and award-winning film director Steven Spielberg. It also suggested a fued  with co-star and movie lead actress Whoopi Goldberg.

Goldberg was nominated  for her performance in”The Color Purple” but has not sat down with Oprah since the production and has been absent from her recent festivities that have celebrated Black women and their contributions to art and culture. Goldberg won an Academy Award for her supporting role in the 1991 film, “Ghost.”

The show airs nationally November 15 and features a tearful Oprah Winfrey speaking candidly about the long-time rift between the two famed African-Americans.
