Taraji Henson is back on the scene with her new film “From The Rough.” The film seems like the perfect material for the Oscar nominated actress to get some more recognition for her acting chops.

“From The Rough” tells the true story of Catana Starks, the first woman to even coach a NCAA Division 1 men’s golf team. Starks, who has previously worked as Tennessee State University’s men’s swim coach, could find only one African-American to join the golf team. Driven by this experience, she would go on to eventually go on to booster the HBCU’s roster of golfers, bringing in disadvantaged student-atheletes from all over the world.

The movie, filmed in New Orleans, is sure to be filled with drama and inspiration, both Taraji’s stong points. The cast of “From The Rough” also includes LeToya Luckett, Henry Simmons, Michael Clarke Duncan and Robert Bailey Jr.
