Love or hate her, the Bajan beauty just can’t be stopped. Today, Rihanna bested her peers to grab 18 nominations for this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

Ri Ri grabbed nominations for top Hot 100 artist, top female artist, top R&B artist and top dance/electronic artist. “Love the Way You Lie,” her collab with Eminem, scored six nominations on its own.

Although Rihanna reigned supreme, Eminem was close behind. Sharing in the six nominations for “Love the Way You Lie,” the Detroit rapper earned 16 nominations, including honors for top Billboard 200 artist, top artist, top male artist and top rap artist.

Not to be out done, Lady Gaga also grabbed 12 nominations and is the favorite to walk away with the trophy for top dance/electronic album. And Usher topped the R&B charts, grabbing 10 nominations.

Unlike other awards shows, the Billboard Music Awards uses a myriad of data to nominate artists such as sales, social media rankings, tour revenue, chart profiles, radio airplay, and Nielsen SoundScan data.

This year’s show will include performances by Rihanna, the Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Taio Cruz. It will air live on ABC on May 22.
