If we’re honest for just a quick second, most designs spotted on the runways at fashion week are a bit too elaborate and theatrical for our ordinary lives.
That theory takes a sharp left when it comes to the collections from Sachika. Twin sisters To-Nya and To-Tam presented their Fall 2011 “The Awakening of Swan” during the Style 360 Fashion Week. It was immediately dubbed one of their most attractive and sophisticated yet. Critics were enamored with how creative yet wearable the collection was.
Ranging from daywear to evening, the collection was inspired by Darren Aronofsky’s film “Black Swan” and rapper Kanye West’s short film, “Runaway.” The line features an assortment of looks alternating between strong and sexy to passionate and spirited.
Day looks are sophisticated and edgy and speak to a “confident woman” who knows how to conduct business. Belted jackets and embellished blouses make dull business attire fun, chic and effortlessly trendy. Evening pieces held their own and with whimsical shoulder details and romantic metallic flesh-tones gowns.
No stranger to prints or colors, To-Nya and To-Tam craft every design to embrace and enhance a woman’s natural confidence and grace while catering to the demands of her dynamic lifestyle.
