From the Fall 2011 runway show with Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss to the many favorable reviews that came after, Louis Vuitton’s latest collection is one of the most talked-about and celebrated lines from the brand.
The ad campaign promises to incite more excitement and anticipation around the collection. It features a beautiful crop of emerging models including Nyasha Matonhodze, a 16 year-old model from Northampton who notably won the UK Elite Model Look of the Year 2009 award. Louis Vuitton marks her first major campaign.
Matonhodze joins models Zuzanna Bijoch, Daphne Groeneveld, Gertrud Hegelund, Anaïs Pouliot and Fei Fei Sun for the ads which were shot in a Brooklyn aerodrome and feature vintage cars and dogs.
Of the campaign, Marc Jacobs said: “Steven Meisel and I met and decided we would do this wonderful story of beautiful vintage cars, little dogs and fresh-faced young women. It’s a very classic scenario, and of course it suggests travel, but I think we gave it a fresh, modern and sometimes a little bit naughty, tongue-in-cheek spin.”
“Who wouldn’t want to be this gorgeous young woman in the back seat of this beautiful car?” he added.
