It’s only Monday, but I’m already daydreaming about summer vacation.
As the weeks inch closer to summer where sunny days and warm breezes are ever-present, and the threat of gray mornings and freezing rain are but a thing of the past, I’m excitedly planning my vacations. Yes, plural.
While I’m not ballin’ like Bey and Jay and can’t afford a trip to the sun-kissed shores San Tropez or to frolic on the pink sandy beaches of Bermuda, I am planning on still enjoying my vacation (I’m off the entire summer. #ummhmm) and seeing something other my neighborhood.
For sisters like me who are on a budget, but still want to have a great time, road trips are a wonderful option.
Last year I drove up the California coast taking in the majestic ocean views and seeing some of California’s most interesting spots—Monterey Bay, the historic Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. This year, I’m not sure where my car will take me but I’m sure it will be fun.
Aside from heading to New Orleans for the first time, I’m looking forward to exploring more local spots—Santa Barbara, San Diego, Las Vegas, and perhaps even the Grand Canyon.
Even though I’ll be staying (mostly) close to home this summer, I still plan on having a great time.
How about you Clutchettes and Gents? Where are you planning to go this summer?
