With a brilliant career most young models can only dream of, Naomi Campbell is somewhat of a fashion icon. She continues to grace the cover of magazines with her one-of-a-kind poses and to storm the catwalk with her signature strut. To tap Naomi Campbell for an editorial spread or advertisement is to employ a legendary figure in black Fashion thus distinguishing your brand from the crowd.

Givenchy enjoys that distinction as they featured Naomi Campbell in their Fall 2011 advertisement, which debuted today. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Naomi is shown on her knees in a feisty pose reminiscent of a panther, which was a prominent motif in the collection which includes the already-famous cat-ear hats as modeled by Beyonce and panther tees as seen on Kanye West. The campaign also features Models Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy, and Mariacarla Boscono.

What do you think of Naomi Campbell’s ad for Givenchy?

  • “some what of a fashion icon?” I’d say hands down Naomi love her or hate her IS a fashion icon. Awesome photo!

THANK YOU!!!! I was taken aback by that “somewhat” part. Naomi is 40 and still looks hotter than most 20 year old models in the game and not only that, she can pick and choose who she wants to work with. At age 40 in the modeling industry, that is VERY impressive. TAKE THAT SOMEWHAT OUT OF THE ARTICLE!!!!!
