He’s cleaned up at the Grammys and has ruled the top of the charts and now Eminem can add an Emmy to his mantle as well.

Eminem’s famous Chrysler ad has earned an early Emmy in the pre-show awards for Best Commercial of 2011.

According to Ad Age:

Wieden + Kennedy has picked up its third straight Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial—this time for Chrysler’s “Born of Fire” Super Bowl spot starring Eminem. The two-minute spot was directed by Samuel Bayer of Serial Pictures and edited by Tommy Harden of Joint Editorial.


The initial Super Bowl airing of the spot generated a great deal of buzz and was revamped throughout the year to include spinoff beyond the one starring the Detroit-native. Eminem and Chrysler beat out several other high-profile ads including Subaru’s “Baby Driver” ad and Old Spice’s “Questions.” One notable omission from the nomination was the Voltswagen “The Force” with the adorable kid dressed as a Jedi and attempting to turn on his family’s household appliances and car.
