Rihanna has had a whirlwind year on the road. Between her LOUD tour, filming for her upcoming movie and promoting her new perfume, it seems the Bajan singer is always on the go. Even her vacations keep her in the eye of the press. So where does the singer turn when she needs some downtime away from the cameras? As it turns out, the answer is not her home sweet Los Angeles home.
According to reports, Rihanna is suing over damages in her Los Angele’s mansion. The singer claims that she was duped by the previous home owner who told her the necessary plumbing and electrical repairs had been done on the property before it was sold to her. Now, Rihanna’s team says that structural issues have gotten so bad that the home is waterlogged and she is taking Prudiential California Reality to court.
The “S&M” singer’s lawsuit claims she would not have paid $6.9 million for the home in 2009 if she had known about the problems. She claims water leaked into several rooms of the house from a balcony that lacks the proper slope and drainage after a rainstorm in early 2010. The suit states the damage left the home “uninhabitable.”
It appears Rihanna could be in court for her lawsuit and another being filed against her. Christian Moeller , a UCLA professor is suing the star for trespassing. Moeller says that Rihanna, who rents the home next to his says Rihanna and her entourage have been parking their vehicles on his lawn despite his requests that they stop doing so.
