He may look pretty haggard as compared to his appearance while on the initial presidential campaign trail, but according a recent physical exam, “The president is in excellent health and ‘fit for duty’.” His physician, Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman also concluded that “The president is current on all age-appropriate screening tests.”

Another positive piece of news to emerge from the report is that Obama is finally “tobacco free” – a bit of inspiration for those of us out there still hung up on the carcinogenic habit. Not an easy feat, especially for an individual whose addiction began in his youth, Obama admitted in June 2009 that he was “95 per cent cured” of the habit, but “there are times when I mess up.” His doctors recommended he quit after his previous physical in February 2010 when Mr. Obama admitted he hadn’t yet relinquished the habit.
President Obama has been declared smoke-free for an undisclosed amount of days and “on occasion drinks alcohol in moderation.” In addition, he’s reported to have good eating habits and a healthy weight. Despite his hectic schedule, the POTUS exercises almost daily, including lifting weights, jogging on a treadmill and occasional golf and b-ball.

Generally speaking the 50-year-old President appears to have improved his overall heath since his prior exam. At 6 ft 1in and 181 lbs, he gained a whole pound since his last visit, and lowered his cholesterol too. The check up found Obama’s lungs to be clear, his heart rate normal and his colon cancer test negative. Although it’s unclear as to whether Dr. Kuhlman was referring 1 or 2 terms in office, the physician stated that all clinical data indicates that the president’s ‘excellent’ health status “will remain so for the duration of his presidency.”

  • Yayyyyy! Go Obama! My dad passed away at 75 from lung cancer and he was a smoker since his teenage years and once you start it’s very hard to stop. It truly makes me happy to hear our President quit and I wish him many more healthy years to come.

    Way to go, Mr. President!

I stopped smoking 2 yrs ago, and I feel GREAT!

My daddy stopped smoking about 30 years ago after starting as a teen and he said that the one thing he really noticed was about six months after he quit, food tasted so much better and he didn’t need as much salt or pepper as he used to need when he smoked. It’s funny how none of my siblings smoke but we grew up with a smoker. So glad that the POTUS quit.
