One of the most common questions that I got while transitioning from relaxed to natural tresses 2 years ago was: “How did you do it?” I can honestly say that I was often perplexed by the question because it’s so multi-dimensional. Trial, error, research and a YouTube obsession helped me along the way.
The folks over at Carol’s Daughter know all about natural hair and the process of transitioning, and they’re informing and motivating women to embrace going natural with their “Transition Me Beautiful” contest.
Three grand-prize winners will get to chance to share their natural hair journey on the new Carol’s Daughter website, which is dedicated to natural hair and launches this Spring 2012. Not only will the winners share their transitioning experienced first-hand, but the beauty brand has also recruited a savvy glam squad that consists of Curly Textured Expert, Diane DaCosta, Author of Textured Tresses and Health & Wellness Expert Latham Thomas to share their expertise along the way
In addition to vlogging for the beauty brand, the winners will also win a 360 Transitioning Immersion Weekend in NYC that includes an intimate dinner with Carol’s Daughter Founder Lisa Price, a spa experience at The Back Room Hand & Foot Spa, a one-year’s supply of Carol’s Daughter products, a Flip Cam, a custom wardrobe by Sammy B, and a photoshoot.
There’s also a chance for 30 more people to get in on the goods. Ten first-prize winners will receive a Flip Cam to document their hair journey, Carol’s Daughter products, and an “I Love My Hair” t-shirt, and 20 second-prize winners will receive Carol’s Daughter products and an “I Love My Hair” t-shirt.
The contest ends on March 28, winners will be announced by Lisa Price via Facebook on April 6, 2012.
