It’s been just weeks since Whitney Houston suddenly passed away in a Beverly Hills hotel room, but the race is on to see who will play the singer in a biopic.
Clive Davis, Houston’s “industry daddy,” is reportedly at the helm of a film project about the diva’s life. Although actress Meagan Good spoke openly about snagging the role, apparently, Davis and his team have some others in mind.
According to the Daily Mail, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Vivica Fox, and Jordin Sparks are all on a shortlist to play the New Jersey songstress. Willow Smith is also being considered to play a young Houston.
The idea for a film about Houston’s life came about before her death, and according to those close to her, she was excited.
A friend told People, “Whitney knew about the project and was excited to see where it would lead.”
I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see.
Who do you think should play Whitney Houston in a biopic?
