Since her untimely death in February, many have been clamoring for the first look of Whitney Houston’s comeback film Sparkle.
Starring Jordin Sparks, the film was Houston’s baby. She’d worked for years to bring a remake of the ’70s cult classic to the big screen and even served as one of the film’s producers. Houston, who publicly struggled with substance abuse, seemed to be poised for a certain comeback complete with a hit film, new album, and a reinvigorated image.
All that ended suddenly when Houston died in her Beverly Hills hotel room, but that didn’t deter her fans who’ve been waiting to see “the Voice” on screen again.
Monday, the Today Show premiered the trailer for Sparkle and from the looks of things, audiences are in for a good time.
Starring Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Tika Sumpter, Carmen Ejogo, Mike Eps and many more, Sparkle is set to be released this summer.
