It looks like skinny jeans come with more problems than knots that won’t fit. Experts are warning that the popular mens denim trend can lead to testicular problems. Hilary Jones, M.D., a noted television personality in the UK, weighed in on the skinny jeans health risks: “The trendy denims are causing twisted testicles, bladder weakness, and even urinary tract infections.”

Sounds painful! She defined twisted testicles as “when tight trousers prevent the spermatic cord from moving freely, meaning it twists and leads to testicular torsion, which cuts off the blood supply requiring immediate surgery to prevent a gangrenous testicle.”

And all this time, I thought their only offense was looking uncomfortable.

What do you think about the expert warnings against skinny jeans, Clutchettes?

  • Good post. Maybe skinny jeans are only meant to be worn by women. It would be really painful to have a twisted testicle. Thanks for posting.
