“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” – Lao Tzu

Love week continues, Clutchettes.

Last night, while sharing a grant opportunity with my #GOALdiggers group, a friend of mind hit me up on G-chat and shared her own thoughts for a new web series. While we discussed her idea (which is great, by the way), we began talking about my goals and she challenged me to make them happen—quickly. While I threw out nearly every obstacle as to why the timeline, just three weeks, wasn’t feasible, she pointed out that the only thing holding me back was my fear.

This brief interaction made me realize, yet again, just how much I love my friends. While I don’t have a lot of true friends, my dedicated circle definitely has my back. Feeling their love and support, even for my kooky ideas, continues to give me strengt, but loving and supporting them right back gives me a fierce sense of urgency and courage.

I know I’ve said it before, but it’s important to surround yourself with an amazing circle. Whether they are your blood relatives or a family you create for yourself, being in the company of those who love you unconditionally, while loving them back, is one of the most empowering feelings in the world.

Don’t be afraid to love deeply, Clutchettes.

Happy Wednesday!

  • So true….Knowing you are truly and deeply loved makes you feel like no obstacle or mountain is too large to climb. No matter what misfortune befalls you, you both still have each other and in the end that’s all that matters.
