I have big dreams and goals, and as I’ve mentioned many times before, I don’t plan on living a mediocre life. Because of this, I take risks in my professional and personal life that some may deem scary. Do they always pay off? No. But am I content with living the life I create? Hell yes.
Too often we get trapped in lives we don’t quite want because we don’t want to rock the boat. We stay in jobs we hate because they are “good,” we date “good enough” people despite not getting our needs met, and often times we live our lives according to the expectations of our friends and families because it’s the “responsible” thing to do.
But you know what? We’ve only got one life. Living it on anyone else’s terms but your own is crazy.
Instead of putting off your dreams until next month or next year…or retirement…begin taking the steps you need in order live the life you want.
Although those in your circle might not quite understand (or like it), when it comes down to it, you deserve to live a life that makes you extraordinarily happy.
