“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.” – Unknown

By now we know that nothing and no one is perfect, and yet, we keep striving for perfection. We want to be perfect on our jobs, in our lives, and in our relationships, but being perfect is a myth, and the quest for perfection can do more harm than good.

Think about it. When we want everything to be perfect we sometimes engage in activities that don’t make us happy or fulfilled. We cover up what we really want to make others comfortable, and we often times go out of our way to keep up the appearance of happiness or success, even when we are anything but.

But living is not about being perfect. Living is about accepting the imperfections life presents and being comfortable and confident enough in yourself to not be swayed by them.

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, Clutchettes. Live, love, and embrace life on your own terms.

Enjoy your weekend. Happy Friday!

I need to get my wife to read this! If you spend your life waiting for perfection, you are guarranteeing unhappiness! The flip side, however, is that accepting life as it is cannot be an excuse for being slack.

Exactly. You have to moderate your ambition.
