Well it’s about time! At 73-years-old Tina Turner has landed her very first Vogue cover for the magazine’s German edition, April 2013 issue. Meryl Streep was American Vogue’s oldest cover girl at 62, so this just might make Miss Tina the oldest Vogue cover star of all time.
Turner has lived in Europe since the mid-1980s, after she moved to London in 1986 and then Cologne, Germany, later that decade; she moved to Switzerland in 1994. In 1996, she began building a villa outside Nice, France, which was completed in 2000. Turner now divides her time between Switzerland, England, and France.
The legendary singer was photographed by Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer and styled by Nicola Knels.
Who else is overdue for a Vogue cover?
