Michael Clarke Duncan’s family isn’t too pleased with Omarosa Manigault. The ‘Green Mile’ actor’s family is accusing the reality star of making a grab for her late fiancé’s money, which seems to be the case in a lot of high profile Hollywood deaths. According to TMZ, Duncan’s family is suspicious of Manigault.
Duncan’s sister Judy tells TMZ that a lawyer is investigating a change to the actor’s will last year that made Manigault the main beneficiary. Judy adds that she believes Duncan made the changes while ill because around that time he had been slurring his words and stumbling. Judy has also accused Manigault of being obsessed with Ducan’s money after he was on life support after the heart attack in July 2012 that led to his death in September. And Judy says Manigault sold some of his personal belongings without consulting the family.
Never one to bite her tongue, Manigault fired back at Judy and her claims, telling TMZ that Duncan’s sister is the problem.
“I don’t control the estate or the finances and Judy knows it,” she says. “If you saw all of her e-mails and texts to me you would see that she is just trying to get money from me, and threatened going to press if I did not give it to her, and that is a crime.”
Judy isn’t the first to accuse Manigault of shadiness. Just last month La Toya Jackson said that Manigault “probably pulled the cord on Michael Clarke Duncan.” Claudia Jordan, a former friend of Manigault and Apprentice contestant is skeptical about the handling of Duncan’s finances. “Omarosa told myself, Brande [Roderick], LaToya [Jackson], several of us that she had access to some of the money from the charity that Michael Clarke Duncan had and if she needed it she would use it,” Jordan said on The Wendy Williams Show last month. “This is what she told me.”
Needless to say, the Good Reverend Manigault better make sure she’s on the up and up, because it looks as though a family feud is brewing.
