Another sad story to report. Former Disney child star and up-and-coming actor, Lee Thompson Young, was found dead in his home today from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Young, who was just 29, was currently appearing as Detective Frost on the hit TNT show Rizzoli & Isles.
Sources tell us Young’s body was discovered with a gunshot wound that appears to be self-inflicted.
Young currently appears in the TNT show “Rizzoli & Isles” — and we’re told when he didn’t show up to work this morning, staffers called the landlord of Young’s L.A. home to check up on the actor.
We’re told … when the landlord opened the door, he discovered Young’s body.
Young rose to fame as the lead in Disney’s The Famous Jett Jackson. Since then, he’s appeared in a plethora of projects including the films Akeelah and the Bee and Friday Night Lights, and TV shows FlashForward, The Guardian, South Beach, Scrubs, Lincoln Heights, and Smallville.
Young graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinematic Arts and he was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
