It’s hard not to scratch your head at Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s antics. From her 72-day marriage to his famous rant against Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs, they both fell off the most-loved celebrities list long before they started dating. Together, they were no less annoying. We all let out a collective groan when we heard their daughter would be named North West.

But despite how irritating the twosome can be, a beautiful baby can make even the toughest critic melt. That’s what happened when Kanye West revealed his firstborn today on the finale episode of her grandmother’s daytime talk show, “Kris” (followed by Kris tweeting the photo above).

Kris Jenner remarked Nori has her mother’s eyes and dad’s cheeks, making for a lovely combination of her parents. During the interview, Kanye, who suddenly developed a strange accent, spoke lovingly of his girlfriend and child, saying:

“My grandfather just passed and his whole thing, it was never about money. It was never about popularity. His whole thing was joy and having joy in his life. She’s my joy and she brought my new joy into the world. There’s no paparazzi and there’s no blog comment that’s going to take that joy from me.”

See more from the interview here.

Congrats to the couple!

  1. I thought that I was the only one who thought that he developed a strange accent. I think that he is trying to fit in with the white suburban family. The hood guy trying to be white. People don’t realize that even the rapper type can “try to be white” when they start dating interracially. You expect a “real” brother to keep it “real”. I noticed that even with 50 cent and Chelsea Handler. The power of the white woman. All of a sudden Rappers turn into Valley Girls.

  2. Definitely a cute kid!

Those people are such con artists and I wouldn’t be surprised if that is not the picture of their baby. And yet we are fawning of something that may not be true. I am willing to bet my last dime that the baby looks just like Kayne.

I have to agree with everyone, of course the birth of a healthy child is a beautiful thing but not a rarety, it happens everyday if not multiple times a day. I would for once though like to see a black man say the same encouraging and uplifting comments about a fellow sister whom he loves…. a girl can dream–
