Peter Thomas always rubbed me the wrong. Forget the fact that he reminds me of  Jefferey from “The Fresh Prince”, Benson and Uncle Ben, there’s just something about him that makes my skin crawl.  In a recent interview with  Life & Style, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta”  Cynthia Bailey revealed that Peter was ready to walk out on her while she was being treated for uterine fibroids this season.

Wait, what about for better or for worse? Through sickness and through health? I guess none of that mattered to Peter.

During Bailey’s ordeal with fibroids, she was in constant pain and also lost her sex drive.  The couple went 3 months without sleeping together. Thomas confessed to Life & Style, adding that if the issue wasn’t taken care of “we’d be divorced for sure.”

“I know we would have been done,” said Peter. “There is absolutely no way we could have survived another year if things hadn’t changed.”

Thomas even had plans in the works with his boys to take a trip to Venezuela for some side STD action.  “Me and my buddies were planning a trip to Venezuela because nobody knows us there, ” he shared.

Bailey eventually resolved her fibroid issue and now everything is magically fine, because they’re a lot more intimate.

Well great, good for them.  But do people just up and leave their wives or husbands because of  an illness? Sure dealing with a health issue can be stressful, but what happened with coping together?

Not that fibroids are a simple issue to deal with, but what if something major comes along, like cancer?

“Hey baby, I’m just going to drop you off at chemo, and then pick up my side-piece,” says a husband who can’t deal with a sick wife.

“Oh, you have prostate cancer? I think I need to trade you in for a new model,” says a woman who is anything but sympathetic to her man.

Clutchettes, sure the two examples above are a little over the top, but chances are there’s a couple dealing with a health crisis and the stress that it causes them. But do you stay or do you stray?

I have never watched this show–you’re telling me that’s not her dad?

  • What a prick. I’ve had Fibroids for almost 20 years and I’ve had a few surgeries for it, so I’m surprised that her treatment was so short – unless she had a hysterectomy. I have abstained sexually for reasons surrounding that ( emotionally and physically) but never had a man pull that crap. Yeah, there was always something about that guy that turned me off……..
