Grace Colbert is back in a new Cheerio ad. Last year, General Mills received harsh feedback after it featured an interracial family in their cereal ad. But apparently, they said to hell with the bigots who had an issue with it.
In its newest ad, Grace and her family are having breakfast and the father is explaining that a new addition is being added to the family. And then there were 4. Gracie is getting a baby brother.
Grace then uses her bargain techniques, and cheerios, to finagle a new puppy in addition to the baby brother.
“Cheerios is about families and love and connections — and breakfast,” said Camille Gibson, vice president of marketing for Big G cereals. “Our new Cheerios ad celebrates one of those special moments with a family that America fell in love with.”
