Last week, Sherri Shepherd came under fire when her comments about gay people during an interview on the Fusion network went viral:

“You grow up being a Christian and you grow up believing homosexuality is a sin; you’re going to hell if you’re a homosexual. This is something that they teach in churches. So it’s something that I grew up believing,” she told Menendez last week. “I might not agree with your lifestyle, but I love you. You may not agree with my lifestyle, but you love me.”

Shepherd admitted that she was taught her beliefs in church, also she may have been taught the world was flat there as well. So take that for what it’s worth.

Yesterday, during an episode of “The View”, she informed the audience and her co-hosts that her views may have been misrepresented by the media:

“I’m truly sorry to anyone I’ve offended with the viewpoints I expressed on Alicia Menendez Tonight on the Fusion network,” Shepherd said. “My interview was misrepresented, and only a portion of my comments were used as a headline to give the impression that I was condemning members of the LGBT community living in their own truth. In the interview, I express I was raised as a child to have a certain set of beliefs, but my beliefs have evolved significantly as my own personal relationship with Christ has increased.”

“I believe that love is the grace of all things and I have no desire to judge anybody by who they are,” she continued. “I’m a person of compassion and anyone who knows me knows that I love, I accept, I embrace everybody who has love in their hearts. So I love you.”

Shepherd still probably thinks you’re going to hell if you’re gay, though. But she’s sorry. I guess we can blame her Christian lifestyle. Maybe she should talk to a few of her fellow Christians that aren’t homophobic. People need to stop using religion as an excuse.  If she was basing her whole life on what the bible taught her, I find it hard to believe that Shepherd still believes people should be slaves and women are not their husband’s equal.

Clutchettes, what do you think about Sherri’s comments?

So when someone says “what wars” in your mind that means they are “denying” the Crusades occurred?

You are obviously biased against Christianity. You are just posting wild misleading anti-Christian statements. Of course, you fail to say anything about Christian abolitionists.
