Two schoolkids were arrested Tuesday for putting rat poison in their teacher’s water bottle in a Brooklyn classroom, sources said. The 9 and 12 year old boys are fifth graders at  PS 315 in Flatbush.

The teacher realized something wrong when she because nauseous after drinking her water. It was then that another student told her the two boys put poison in her bottle. The teacher was treated at her doctor’s office and was not seriously injured. The next day, she went to the 70th Precinct station house to report what had happened.

The kids were arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. It was not clear why they did it, and their names were not released.

A 9 AND 12 year old in the fifth grade? Shouldn’t a twelve year old be in 7th or 8th grade? Anyways, this was wasn’t funny. What kind of bebe does this and thinks it’s funny…

Yeah probably failed one grade. Most kids turn 12 around the end of 6th grade or in the summer. Looks like they’re both on the wrong track, especially the one that already failed. What if she had of died?? Bad seeds…

They’re not being charged with attempted murder? Must be because of their age. I swear, I am so tired of kids doing evil things and then being handled with “kids gloves”. You are not a baby if you decide to put poison in your teacher’s water. You are evil and deserve to be put in jail or at least juvenile detention for a long time. Maybe, that’s my lack of kids talking, but I don’t feel sympathy for these evil little brats and their families. Take responsibility!

Agreed. Trying to poison a teacher is serious stuff.
