It’s been a few years since we’ve seen Jada Pinkett Smith in primetime, but this fall she’s returning to network TV with a bang!
Pinkett will star in Fox’s latest drama Gotham, based on popular DC Comics characters like Batman, the Penguin, Cat Woman, the Joker, and more. Gotham’s creators decided to create a new character just for Pinkett, who will play a sinister villain named Fish Mooney. According to Shadow & Act, Fish Mooney is “a sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner, with street smarts and almost extra-sensory abilities to read people like an open book.”
Pinkett Smith called Fish Mooney “a role of a lifetime,” and explained her character “does not have a lot of patience for Gordon (the main hero).”
Gotham comes to us from writer Bruno Heller (Rome) and director Danny Cannon (CSI). It will air this fall on Fox.
