Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg had her say about Stephen A. Smith’s controversial domestic violence comments during a recent episode of The View.

The “View”  host completely agreed with Smith’s comments saying, “You have to learn you can’t hit anyone without expecting to be hit in return.”  Goldberg was referring to Smith’s rant about Ray Rice’s two game suspension.

Goldberg then went on to state that she wasn’t victim blaming, after guest host Sunny Hostin accused her of victim blaming.

“Oh, my god, that is not blame the victim! I just said, don’t anybody hit anybody,” she said. “But If you make the choice as a woman, who’s four foot three, and you decide to hit a guy who’s six feet tall and you’re the last thing he wants to deal with that day and he hits you back, you cannot be surprised!”

This is Goldberg’s first time making comments in defense of  the men involved in domestic violence. In May, Goldberg also stated that Jay Z had every right to hit Solange back, after the infamous elevator fight.

Clutchettes, do you agree or disagree with Goldberg’s comments?

That is definitely acceptable and expected if she is trying to physically harm or kill you. It’s the only time I would agree that a woman she be knocked the fuck out or even shot for that matter.

Didn’t she date a white man years ago? Yeah I do believe so.

It’s not OK for a woman to ever hit a man, but the point is that any woman should know that a man can and will hit her back if she hits him, The reality is that men hit women all of the time so women should know this is a possibility. If a man knows he has the advantage and is physically stronger and can do far more harm to her than what she can do to him then, maybe he should just walk away from the abusive relationship. Especially if she doesn’t have enough sense to keep her hands to herself.
